Valais Tibet - Maurice Chappaz

"Valais Tibet" is an evocation of the old Alpine civilisation and was awarded the Grand Prix of the Salon du Livre Montagne Passy 2000.

Maurice Chappaz was a Swiss poet and writer.  A great traveller, he visited many countries, among them Tibet in 1970.  In 1997 hew was awarded the most prestigious prize in Switzerland for a writer: le Grand Prix Schiller.
