L'Envers - Jean Gabriel Cosculluela
An homage to, or a definition of typography and its basic elements, the letters - black on white. A poetic reflection on the skills of the typographer; snow-white paper blemished with letters as black as night; the typographer plays with lead, ink and paper; the typographer listens to the silence of the reader.
The second part of this meditation on the typographic art considers the skill of composition. The letters "traversent le silence," the grain of the paper where the song of the characters hovers patiently on the edge of memory. And "l'invisible se resserre sur la lumière de l'envers, juste avant le renversement."
